Durable Goods Orders in U.S. Decline by Most in Six Months

The housing market is a good indicator for the Durable Goods Orders release. Existing home sales were down and New home sales were slightly up but as long as there isn’t a strong report from the housing market then durable good orders should remain weak.
Orders for U.S. durable goods dropped more than forecast in April, reflecting a slump in aircraft demand and disruptions in supplies of auto parts stemming from the earthquake in Japan.
